Whether you use a store bought product or a home remedy that you create from scratch it doesn't really matter. What does matter is that your skin isn't becoming irritated from the product and also so that it's working on your skin. Some products won't work on certain skin types which is why you'll need to find a product that works for your skin. Once you've found a product that is working then you should just continue using it and cleansing daily to make sure you don't develop acne.
