There is something about being in your twenties that creates a bullet proof vest around you. When you are in your twenties the decade seems like it is going to last forever. Very often most issues in life seem to have little effect, and worry is not a word in your vocabulary. Even if you are not of celebrity status, you still more than likely possess a daring attitude about life. There are so many years ahead so why worry? Fear is never taken into consideration.
Taking care of your health is generally of little concern on a daily basis. You are going to be young and healthy forever, or so you think. All the information about staying healthy, eating well, exercising, taking vitamins has nothing to do with you. Smoking and drinking also brings little concern if you indulge in one or both of these.
Britney Spears soon will be in her late twenties, then her thirties, forties, fifties and so on. She may have gained only a few pounds, but not to worry…Easy to gain and lose and gain and lose. Give her a few years and her weight gain will be tougher and tougher to deal with. Surely she will run to spas, plastic surgeons and have constant make overs. However, if her cavalier attitude continues she will begin to see flabby arms, skin problems, and a mélange of other celebrity no no’s. The quick recovery is no longer a given as the clock ticks on.
When she turns thirty and she still looks gorgeous, once again she will put on her bullet proof vest, after shedding a few tears about aging to thirty.
Life can be relentless, and if we don’t eat properly, exercise and get enough sleep it starts to show. The alcoholic beverages that are chugged down will eventually cause puffy eyes, sallow skin, and the tired demeanor will become more apparent. A generous number of pounds find their way easily to one’s hips. These are just facts of life.
Having been there and done that I started taking really good care of myself at about the age of thirty. I realized the value of healthy eating, daily exercise and limiting alcohol to a glass of red wine (well maybe two)
So I have advice to Britney…..Start really taking care of yourself! There will be a time when the body is no longer forgiving with its lack of care. Get enough sleep. Exercise everyday and use those weights. Start taking vitamins, and eat lots of fresh foods. Skip the radical diets and hyped ways there are today for a quick rejuvenation. It looks like you have not visited the plastic surgeon as yet. If you take care of yourself you will look gorgeous well into your fifties, sixties and seventies. These are not temporary fixes, but the way to live everyday. It seems like a waste of great talent not to start taking care of yourself.
