Steps

  1. Listen to what your children have to say. When you listen to your child when he or she wants to talk, your letting them know that you care about them. This will make it easier for he or she to open up to you.
  2. Support your children, and spread your love evenly. For an example,if your son runs to you and says "Mommy, Alyssa took my toy truck!", then you could say "Johnny, I'm sure she didn't know she took it from you. It was just sitting in the dirt. Try sharing with your sister." If you support both siblings, then they will have one less thing to fight about.
  3. Let them sort out their problems on their own. If your two toddlers are fighting over a toy, don't get involved unless they are hurting each other.
  4. Love your children uniquely and evenly. If you love all or both children uniquely, they'll know they're perfect the way they are.
  5. Enjoy life to the fullest with your spouse and children. If you fight with your spouse, don't do it in front of your children. This could upset them and cause them to fight also.
  6. Enjoy parenthood, and good luck!

Tips

  • If one of your children is doing something that is upsetting his or her sibling, make him stop his behavior, but with lots of love.
  • Tell your children how much you love them everyday. This will make them very happy!

Warnings

  • If your children are hurting each other, separate them immediately. Keep them in different bedrooms at night until they work it out. You don't want them getting hurt.

Things You'll Need

  • Children
