Steps

  1. Turn your Windows Vista Machine.
  2. Click the START ORB and SEARCH for RegEdit ,press ENTER. (If you're promoted to enter the administrator password or confirmation,do so).
  3. EXPAND the following : HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Control Panel
  4. and CLICK Desktop. (note: just click Desktop,Do not expand it!).
  5. Look at the right side for MenuShowDelay and DOUBLE CLICK on it,and set it to 1 to 20.
  6. Expand the following : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > Current Control Set and CLICK Control. (note:just click Control,Do not expand it!).
  7. Look at the right side for WaitToKillServiceTimeout and DOUBLE CLICK on it,and set it to 2000 to 10000.
  8. Close Registry Editor.
  9. Click the START ORB > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools >
  10. Disk Defragmanter.
  11. Open Disk Defragmanter and click Defragment Now.
  12. Run your Anti-Virus program,and scan for Viruses.
  13. Click START ORB and SEARCH for msConfig. (If you're promoted to enter the administrator password or confirmation,do so).
  14. Click the START UP tab..uncheck all,click OK,and restart.
  15. Download the program called cCleaner at http://cCleaner.com/. Install it and scan your system for unnecessary files and invalid registry entries.

Tips

  • Run Disk Defragmenter every month.
