Steps

  1. Pick a place to redecorate:
    • attic
    • spare room
    • corner of your room
    • large closet
  2. Get rid of, or find new storage places for, unnecessary items. Old painting of your grandpa?s grandpa? Rehome it. Really cool purple chair? Keep it, it will make for some great 'color' on your webshow. Try putting everything in some boxes, and moving them into a corner or another place.
  3. Dust and clean off surfaces! If this is an unused area, everything will probably be dusty anyway, so if you don?t want to sneeze through your whole show, so dust!
  4. Move in items you want, like some tables, and interesting things like, say, a large picture of ________. This way when people see your setting they will wonder, ?What?s _______ doing there??
  5. Clean out the old stuff by pushing it behind something big or placing it out of sight.
  6. Arrange your furniture.
  7. Place the final touches to your attic/show HQ and you?re set!
  8. If you don't have a definitive wall/backdrop, try making one using your surroundings. If the color isn't right, use whatever color sheet you can find that you like...(much cheaper and less messy than painting).

Tips

  • Get your friends' help!

Warnings

  • ASK YOUR PARENTS FIRST!!! They may not want you turning that extra room into some show HQ.
  • Make sure your attic floor is stable enough to support you. If it's just for storage this may not be the best idea.
  • Sometimes attics don't get enough air. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A VENT OR THERE WILL BE TOO MUCH CO2!!
  • With any other spaces that you might choose, consider any safety factors...ventilation, chemicals, etc.
