How to Clean Oil Off a Driveway

Steps

1. Go to your local hardware store and ask for a product that will clean up the oil.
2. Dry up as much of the oil on the driveway with a rag or paper
3. Pour the oil cleaner on the ground, rub a little with the rag and let it vaporize.
4. If you're not happy with the results, repeat the process.
5. Get some kitty litter. It works as good as the oil dry the service stations use. Put some on the floor and rub it in with your foot. Don't worry about wiping it up. The kitty litter will absorb it. Once the worst is up sweep it up and repeat once more. When you are done let it sit a while then sweep it up. You'll hardly be able to see where it was. This also works with old dried up oil stains.
6. Take a can of WD-40 and completely cover and saturate the oil spot and let sit for 1 minute and then wipe with a rag.

Tips

• If your car is leaking oil, put cardboard under it when you park it in the driveway and try to get it fixed ASAP.
• If oil is spilled, a little water can be hosed on and prevent the oil soaking the ground as it will float up.
• If you put cat litter(cheap) in the spot where oil is dripping, it will absorb most, if not all, before it stains driveway
• Laundry detergent, a little water, and a push broom, or big brush works wonders. Then when you are done, squirt it off.

Warnings

• The cleaner is very bad for your skin, so don't put any on your hands and wear latex gloves if possible.
