Steps
- Open up your Internet browser.
- Go to the site you would like to bookmark.
- On the top where it says file and edit there should be an option called either favorites or bookmarks, depending on which browser you are using. Click the favorite/bookmarks option.
- When the menu drops down asking you what you would like to do, click add favorite/add bookmark.
- Rename your bookmark when the box pops up asking you what you want to call this favorite.
- Go to another website, and then click on the bookmarks/favorites bar to see the bookmark/favorite. Click on the favorite/bookmark to confirm the link is working.
Tips
- For Safari, the Bookmarks drop-down is automatically set to add what you Bookmark in the Bookmarks bar. You can change this to put things in the menu by clicking "Add favorite to menu at the bottom when you favorite a page".
Warnings
- Be sure you are on the page you want to favorite.
- If you favorite too many websites, your favorites will get cluttered and will be harder to search through, and you will almost be better off just typing in the website name in the address bar, unless you organize them.
Things You'll Need
- A computer
- An internet connection
- A few sites you go on all of the time
